The call goes unanswered
Your phone rings while you're under a house, with a patient, or asleep. You don't pick up, so the call rings out and diverts to Conversiq instead of your voicemail.
Within seconds, the caller gets a WhatsApp from your verified WhatsApp Business profile, under your business name. It says sorry you missed them and asks how it can help, so they have no reason to ring the next business on Google.
Conversiq handles the conversation
It asks the questions your business needs answered: what the job is, how urgent it is, where it is, and anything else you've told it to check. It answers questions about your services, hours and service area from the details you load in.
Where your price list covers the job, it quotes. When the customer is ready, it offers real times from your calendar and holds the one they pick.
You get a booked job, not a voicemail
A confirmed booking lands on your phone with who, where, what's needed and what it's worth. The full conversation is there if you want it.
If the job is sensitive, the customer is upset, or they ask for a person, Conversiq stops and pages you straight away, with everything said so far.
Setting it up
We do this with you after your demo. Most businesses are live within a few business days.
- Divert unanswered calls. You keep your number. Calls you don't pick up divert to Conversiq after they ring out.
- Verify your WhatsApp Business profile. Customers see your business name and details, not ours.
- Load your services and prices. This is what Conversiq answers and quotes from. It doesn't guess outside it.
- Set your hours and service area. So it knows when to offer a booking and which suburbs you cover.
- Set up your calendar. Conversiq keeps your bookings in its own calendar, so it can offer and hold real times. Direct sync with Google and Microsoft calendars is in development.
- Go live. Ring your own number, let it ring out, and watch it work.
More ways for customers to start a chat
Missed calls are the main way in, but customers can also message your business without calling first.
- One-tap link. Add it to your website, Google Business Profile or email signature. One tap opens a WhatsApp chat with your business.
- QR code. Print it on business cards, vehicle signage, quotes and invoices. Customers scan it and start chatting.
Either way, Conversiq picks up the conversation exactly as it would after a missed call.
What you see
- Job alerts. Each booking arrives with the customer's name, address, the job and its value.
- A daily summary. One message with every enquiry handled and every job booked (Growth and Pro plans).
- Handoff alerts. When Conversiq steps back for a person, you're paged straight away with the conversation so far.
What your customer sees
A normal WhatsApp chat with your business. Here's an example for an electrician after a power cut.
Want to see it for real? Call the demo line on 022 032 8283 and let it ring out.
How it works: common questions
Do I need a new phone number?
No. You keep your number. Calls you don't answer divert to Conversiq after they ring out.
What if the caller doesn't have WhatsApp?
For now, the caller needs WhatsApp installed to get the follow-up. SMS as a fallback is on our roadmap.
Can I still answer calls myself?
Yes. Only calls you don't pick up divert. Answer as normal whenever you can.
What happens if it doesn't know the answer?
It works only from the details you give it. Anything outside them, it tells the customer you'll confirm, and passes the question to you.
Do customers know they're chatting with an AI?
Yes, if they ask. It never claims to be a person: asked directly, it says it is your business's AI assistant. Anyone who asks for a real person is handed to you.
